The NSG Group developed new SELFOC® Lens Array “SLA 5AG” for the machine vision market and applications.

SLA 5AG achieves over 30mm WD, or working distance, doubled of the conventional product 5DG introduced in July 2020, while maintaining SLA’s unique property of compactness and 5DG-equivalent DOF, or depth of focus.
This allows a larger distance between the object and the inspection system, reducing the risk of collision or contamination even in severe inspection environments where objects flutter or foreign materials scatter from the objects.
It also contributes to easy maintenance and greater design flexibility in illumination positioning, making it easier to use in a wider range of applications.
NSG will continue to meet the diverse needs of the machine vision market by offering a broad lineup of SLAs for machine vision applications, including “SLA 9AG,” the standard type with high luminance and high resolution, “SLA 5DG,” the deep DOF type launched in 2020, and “SLA 5AG,” the newly developed lens with greater working distance.
